Super sturdy and just as advertised!
This bookcase is ADORABLE!I assembled it myself at about 7-8 months pregnant, and I’d say it was fairly simple to put together and included all the hardware it needed, just need a basic screwdriver if you don’t like the one included. It took maybe 1-2 hours to set up (probably closer to 1, I can’t quite remember– mom brain!) It holds a TON of books and weight. The top is amazing for decor, a humidifier, projector, more toys, or just some extra daily necessities. We put it next to the rocker to hold cups and bottles, as well as a few decorative items, and it’s perfect.It’s super sturdy, never wobbles, despite us putting a ton of heavy books in it. Super functional, love the bottom section for toy storage. I think it’s pretty scratch-resistant? There isn’t much in the nursery to cause scratches haha!

Great storage solution for toddler’s room
First thing, this is made of MDF, not engineered hardwood like the listing says. (Not a dealbreaker, but it influenced our decision not to store the humidifier on it!) I got the white lacquered version. Notably, there was no smell when we opened the packaging, so once assembled it was good to go. Based on other reviews I was prepared to let it air out a few days first, so it was a nice perk not to have to do that. All the pieces and parts were present. The assembly instructions were generally good and helpful, although we did find that when we were assembling the bottom shelves that we had to do a couple steps out of the described order to make it fit together the way it needed to. Assembly took about an hour.Fully assembled, this is a pretty stable piece of furniture with ample storage space. We got it to replace a tall, skinny bookshelf in our toddler’s room and it’s just right for the space we hoped to fill. We know the white lacquer and mdf material won’t hold up forever, but for the price, we are very pleased with this.

Excellent storage!
These were exactly as pictured, and what I was expecting. They assembled quite quickly and my kindergartener uses this hard! It really helped organize his room. I bought 2 to place side by side.
