    Great Camera Doorbell
The Google Nest Doorbell (3rd Gen) is a top-tier wired doorbell that delivers 2K HDR video, smart detection, and flawless Google Home integration. It captures crystal-clear footage day and night, with a 166° field of view that covers both faces and packages. Motion detection is highly accurate, distinguishing between people, vehicles, and deliveries while minimizing false alerts. The wired power ensures consistent performance with no need for battery swaps, and installation is quick if wiring meets requirements.Through the Google Home app, users can view live video, review recordings, and enjoy smooth connectivity with other Nest and Chromecast devices. Its sleek, minimalist design adds a modern touch to any entryway — combining security, style, and reliability in one impressive package.

Excellent FOV, easy to setup, nice app
Easy to set up following the google homeapp (even with electrical experience it is straightforward) and works perfectly with my transformer that powers my chime and measures at 18-20V 10VA. The angled plate works well to hide wires and the wire adapters. If not using the angled plate, you have to ensure you can hide the wires in the wall or else it won’t sit flush. Setup ran perfectly after I connected everything. Depending on your wifi connection you may get delayed notifications, but the event history is always available anyway. Without a subscription you get to see the first 10 seconds of every video event. High quality video, good frame rate, super excellent FOV. Pretty awesome overall, 5/5 stars.

    Love
Great doorbell camera! The video quality is clear, and the notifications are fast and reliable. It was easy to install, and the app works smoothly. Feels very secure having it at the door. Highly recommend!

Better than the Ring in every aspect
This Nest wired doorbell is awesome! After three failed tries with the Ring doorbell I was about to give up on all of them. But I gave this one a try, only because I like the Nest Gen. 3 thermostat so much, and boy am I happy I did. It disconnected from the router the first day, and since then it has been perfect. The button on the Ring was junk, this one is light years better. The clarity on the camera is terrific, a d the event tracking rocks. WAY easier to install than the Ring. In every facet it far outshines the Ring. I wasted a year on that Ring and I’m never going back. Nest rocks!

    Pricey subscription
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Video Quality and Features — but Pricey SubscriptionI recently upgraded to the Google Nest Doorbell (Wired, 3rd Gen), and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it performs. The 2K video quality is crisp, night vision is clear, and the two-way audio works flawlessly for quick chats with delivery drivers or visitors. Integration with Google Home is seamless, and I really like the live view and smart alerts, which are faster and more reliable than previous generations. The only downside — and the reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 — is the high subscription cost for the Nest Aware plan. You need it to unlock many of the advanced features like event history and intelligent detection, which makes the total setup quite expensive in the long run.Overall, it’s an excellent smart doorbell with premium performance and build quality — just be prepared for the ongoing subscription cost.

    Gen 3 even better
Great product and works fine with the same transformer as my gen2. I appreciate the wider field of view and image clarity of the gen3.One gotcha for me is that while I had confirmed it uses the same bracket as gen2, I hadn’t considered that my old one was actually a wired gen 2 “battery” version which is somewhat larger and doesn’t have the same hole pattern.

Google Nest Gen 3 doorbell is a serious downgrade from Gen 1
Nest Gen 3 doorbell is a serious downgrade from Nest Hello. How does Google make a gen 3 product that wildly underperforms gen 1 then sell it for a premium? The quality of the day time video is horrible compared to the Gen 1 Nest Hello that this replaced. The night vision is even worse. I used to be able to see everything in grayscale at night. Now the video is just pitch black with white hot spots for light sources. Best yet… Google’s instructions take you though installation only to tell you to scan the QR code on the back of the doorbell after it’s screwed into the wall. Are you kidding me? Install it, screw it in then unscrew it to scan the QR on the back? Absolutely moronic. This is going back. I’m switching to Ring if I can’t find another Gen 1

If looking for an upgrade, you found it and will be happier with the new quality of picture
Had the nest hello and upgraded to this. Its quicker response time and viewing in the google home app is so smooth now. The quality is better was hoping for i guess 4k but still better then before. Better viewing area and night vision is so much more clearer. At first it looked horrible cause I didn’t see everything lit up but because of that the detail at night is so much better.
