Good quality but a bit pricey
Everything is good quality except for the sliding doors are a bit “rough” to slide. The shapes are not a choking hazard / are a good size. My 10 month old is a bit young for this still, but we use it anyway for practice. I think when he gets older, the yellow one will be easier. You have to put it the right way since it is not a perfect square which can be difficult. I really appreciate that it is Montessori certified because there are so many toys on Amazon marketed as Montessori simply just as a gimmick. Montessori toys should be utilizing one skill at a time and encourage open ended play (among other attributes) so it saddens me to see things like busy boards labeled as Montessori. Anyway, I think the sliding feature is cool to reinforce learning about object permanence, and this also teaches hand eye coordination, shapes, and colors as well. Overall i think this is a good product, but I do not think it is worth $30. I think it is a good value if you get it for less than $20 on sale.

Repeated use and builds important skills
Helped my son understand cause and effect. Caused him to concentrate in an educational way while flexing his hand-eye coordination. The repeated usability and unexpected outcomes of where the blocks will land based on the sliding pieces mean he will use it for long periods at a time. I’m happy to see this Montessori line and look forward to introducing him to more as he ages up.

Made in China printed on the box but the product specifications on Amazon doesn’t state where it’s made. Returned.

Montessori Style & Wooden? Yes, Please!
I purchased this as a first birthday gift. I am happy with the quality of this toy. It feels sturdy and well made, and I like that it is wooden instead of plastic. The pieces are smooth and colorful, and I like that everything fits inside the box for easy storage. It definitely feels like a Montessori-inspired toy, simple but engaging. The kids enjoy figuring out where each piece goes and opening the drawer to find them again. It is a little bit pricey for the size, but I still think it is a good choice if you are looking for something that will last and encourages problem solving.
