Easy to set up and use
Love these smart plugs. I’m using them for my Christmas lights. They set up quickly and once you set up a routine in the Alexa app you don’t have to do anything else. I have my lights set to turn on/off at a certain time every day. The plug is small but works perfectly for my needs. They’re compatible with Alexa app or speakers. Set a routine or a timer and that’s all there is to it.

    Amazon Basic Smart Plug
The Amazon Basics Smart Plug is simple, reliable, and easy to use. Setup through the Alexa app takes just a couple of minutes, and it connects seamlessly to control lights, fans, or other small devices with voice commands or schedules. The compact design doesn’t block nearby outlets, and it responds quickly when turning devices on or off. For a budget-friendly option, it delivers excellent performance and convenience. I love it so much I bought 4 of them

    Amazon smart plug in
I bought the basic Amazon Smart Plug to automate a few lamps around my house, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up and use. From the moment I plugged it in, the Alexa app detected it instantly and walked me through a quick setup that took less than a minute. The plug responds immediately to voice commands, routines, and schedules. I love being able to say, “Alexa, turn on the lamp,” especially when my hands are full or I’m walking into a dark room. It also works great for automating holiday lights and my coffee maker in the mornings. The design is compact enough that it doesn’t crowd the second outlet, and it’s been totally reliable—no random disconnects or glitches. If you already have Alexa devices, this plug integrates seamlessly.Overall, this is a simple but incredibly useful smart home upgrade. Highly recommended for anyone looking to dip their toes into smart home devices without spending a lot or dealing with complicated setups.

It CAN BE CONNECTED with Alexa! If yours failed, read this
I have two Amazon smart plugs, an old one that was released a few years ago ( in 2019?), and a new one (this one, Matter compatible). Setting up the old one was very easy, but this one is super tricky. It seems that Amazon does not make the old smart plugs any more, but only Matter compatible ones now. Actually I ordered one at the beginning but cannot get it connected with Alexa app after I tried many times, I thought it was defective, so I returned it and requested a replacement. After I got the replacement, the setup still failed again and again even though I really followed the instructions (both coming with the item or Amazon’s online instructions). Then this made me realize that there must be something more than what it says in the stupid official instructions! AI does not help too! So I did a quick research and did find out the issue. Matter is an open-source protocol for IoT and smart home devices, it has been supported by Android and iOS. Alexa app can absolutely discover the Matter smart plug, but you MUST use your smartphone’s setting->matter devices or matter accessories (regardless iOS or Android devices) to connect the MATTER smart plug FIRST, then it can be added by Alexa app. After your smartphone get connected with the plug, it will prompt you need a matter hub, for which you can choose Alexa app/Google Home, then follow the instruction and easily add the plug into your Alexa/GoogleHome device list. Good luck!

Great value, they just work, fast setup easy to add home automation control using Echo system
Awesome, I own 7 of these smart switches and they are so convenient. The help with home automation projects and really have a lot of handy uses and are a great value. Very easy to setup and add so that you can voice control your appliances and lights.

    Perfect solution
This is a fantastic product. We use HomeKit as our main smart home platform and setting these up was a breeze. Just scan the code, plug them in and follow the instructions – you’re done in under a minute. These were our first choice because the four-pack is surprisingly affordable and works brilliantly. We’ve also tried using them with other platforms and they work perfectly with Google Home and the Matter-compatible IKEA Smart Hub.

very useful because of their Matter support.
For a while I’ve been thinking of automating my house. My daughter got a bunch of Alexa stuff, other cousins went into the Apple things… but I did not want to set up my house so I needed the Internet to turn on a switch.Eventually I got the Home Assistant Green which does not require the Internet… so I’ve been setting it up with the Zigbee bridge. Since our home has full WiFi coverage – with my home made mesh – Matter devices work very well. I suppose Zigbee stuff will do well towards the edge as they provide their own WiFi mesh…Anyhow, it works really well and I think this is a lot bigger than I though. Perusing through the community of users and developers this is much bigger than Amazon and Apple.Anyways, these devices work as promised. I just bought more. Likely will end up with a bunch that we’ll control via our smart phones, tablets and computers.BTW, the people who gave this a one star… CLUELESS… they are CLUELESS… ignore them. Matter is a standard that takes out from being tied to one vendor… but the Alexa/Apple only people… well, they are CLUELESS… They absolutely miss the point of having an industry standard… not a manufacturer’s standard.EDIT: One thing… when bringing up these devices with an Android phone, the phone will use Bluetooth to send its WiFi credentials to the plug. Make sure the SSID that your phone is connected to is also available for the plug. It turns out that I had my cell phone on a 5Ghz SSID at one point and of course the plug wouldn’t connect. Just a heads up… simple and they tell you but until you’ve done it….

Easy to use plugs, connects to Alexa
So easy to connect to my Alexa, and very easy to use. I have moved these from one house to another and it is just as easy to connect them to wifi, rename them, and they are compatible with so much – easily connect them to lamps, Christmas trees, etc.We have only used them indoor, but I don’t think I would hesitate using them outdoor under a porch.Good quality and good value for the money.

Buen producto. Cumple muy bien sus funciones, también es muy fácil su instalación.

Perfect for a grow light timer. Simple to setup. Silent, opposed to the pin style outlet timers. It can automatically adjust to sunrise/sunset in routines (up to 1hr before or after)… Mine turn off for a couple hours in the afternoon and then come back on 1hr before sunset. Also now on cloudy days I can also just turn them on “manually” in the app from anywhere. Not sure what other people are using these for but was exactly what I needed, not to mention even cheaper than old style timers (2pk for 16.50).

This thing is awesome. I’ve found a few uses so far like turning the Christmas lights on and off but it’s also great for managing lights in the bedroom at night. I plug all our light emitting electronics into it and the have an automatic shut down at night so the lights don’t disrupt our sleep. Highly recommend for an easier sleep without having to remember everything.
