This was great addition to our daughters recovery routine after swim. She spends a ton of hours in the pool or doing dry land and we have found it to be critical to find a recovery routine to allow her to bounce back the next day. At the end of the night she plugs this in for her downtime(TV or reading) and places this across her legs. I wish instead of the USB plug it was an actual prong plug. This just adds extra connections and I am not 100% certain that battery packs or plugging into a nearby electron device is wise.

I got this for my daughter to help her with her “monthly cramps.” It has quickly become her, and our three real cats, favorite thing for relaxing on the bed and couch.The “Cute” Factor: It really just looks like a high-quality stuffed animal. It’s incredibly soft (plush toy texture) and doesn’t look like a medical device. It’s nice enough to leave sitting out on the bed or sofa without it looking like clutter.USB vs. Wall Plug: This is the best feature. Because it runs on USB, you aren’t tethered to a wall outlet if you have a portable power bank. She can sit in her reading chair or even take it in the car and power it off a standard USB battery pack.Heat & Controls: The controller is simple to use. It has 5 heat settings. It doesn’t get “burn your skin” hot like some old-school electric pads, but it gets plenty warm for soothing cramps or a stiff neck. The timer (auto shut-off) is great so I don’t worry about her falling asleep with it on.Size: It’s about 20 inches long, which is a good size to drape across the lower back or tummy. It has a bit of weight to it, which adds to the comforting feeling.Verdict: If you are looking for a gift for someone who gets cold easily or deals with cramps, this is way better than a standard ugly heating pad. It is a practical size at 20″ in length, good for stomach cramps, back, neck, etc. It heats up quite quickly and is defaulted at the highest setting when turned on. It comes with a USB to be plugged in with an adapter (not included) or with a power bank if there is a need for it to be portable.The filling is “acupuncture cotton” per the ad. It only describes it as cotton, however I am not sure if the cat is also cotton. It is very soft, perfect for hugging.It has 5 timer settings, in increment of 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10 hrs and has auto shut off at 158F/70C, restarting at 131F/55C (which is the level 5 setting). The heating settings of 1-5 range from 95F/35C – 131F/55C).
